Second Beach

A little further downstream, Second Beach offers a quieter spot for those who like their riverside afternoons a little more secluded. Also nestled in the Flora and Fauna Reserve, it's a great place to roll out a picnic rug, cast a fishing line, or go for a summer swim. 

Koori Beach

Following the river northwest, Koori Beach sits along a gentle bend of the Murrumbidgee near Lizard Drive. It's a narrow stretch of sandy riverbank, popular for fishing and paddling. A peaceful spot with a special connection to local Wiradjuri culture, it's a lovely place to pause and take in the river's quiet beauty.

• No lifeguards are on duty - swim safe and stick to shallow waters;
• Bring insect repellent, especially during summer months;
• Take your rubbish with you to help keep these natural spots pristine, and;
• Look out for native wildlife, including Narrandera's famous Koalas.
