Driver fatigue is one of the top three contributors to crashes in New South Wales. Fatigue was the leading identified behavioural factor in injury and fatality crashes in Narrandera Shire from 2013-2017.

Narrandera Shire Council encourages residents to think about how tired you are before driving, recognise the early warning signs when driving and know what to do to avoid driving tired.

During holiday periods Narrandera Shire Council uses variable message sign (VMS) boards to display road safety messages including encouraging drivers to Stop, Revive, Survive. This is supported by social media messages.

A Driver Reviver site is operated by Narrandera Lions Club during peak holiday periods adjacent to Marie Bashir Park.
