Council has a Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP), which provides a strategic approach to the installation of footpath, kerb ramps and pedestrian crossing facilities, that improve pedestrian safety and encourage walking. The PAMP covers the towns of Narrandera, Grong Grong and Barellan.
Council also has a Bicycle Plan which identifies cycle routes around Narrandera township. These include shared paths that cyclists and pedestrians can use.
Using the PAMP and Bicycle Plan, Council has developed five year plan (2018-2023) identifying where new footpaths, pedestrian facilities and cycle ways will be constructed.
