This FREE workshop coincides with the Safer Drivers Course for learner drivers and supervising drivers of learners attending that course are encouraged to attend. Other supervising drivers are also welcome.

Attending supervising drivers will have the chance to win a  a one hour driving lesson for their learner with the local driving instructor of their choice.

The workshop is for anyone who will be supervising a learner driver including parents, relatives, friends and carers of the learner driver. The aim of the workshop is to assist these supervisors in feeling confident and motivated to provide supervision for learner drivers.

The workshop covers:
• What is involved in being a supervising driver
• Issues facing young drivers
• How the graduated licensing scheme works
• The importance of learner driver experience
• Lesson planning and dealing with stress
• Tips for safe solo driving
• Where to go for more information

The workshop is for 1.5 hours including opportunities for questions and discussion.
