Narrandera Shire Council is pleased to announce the seasonal reopening of two of the region's favourite aquatic facilities, Lake Talbot Water Park and the Barellan Swimming Pool, just in time for the warmer weather.
Lake Talbot Water Park - Reopening Saturday 4 October 2025
Lake Talbot Water Park will officially reopen for the 2025-2026 season on Saturday 4 October 2025. Following the winter closure, the park is ready to welcome families, residents, and visitors for another season of fun in the sun.
Key features of the facility include:
- Three swimming pools
- An interactive spash park with a tipping bucket
- Flume and race water slides
- Terraced lawns and shaded areas
- Ample bbq facilities
Lake Talbot Water Park continues to be a family friendly favourite and a must visit destination during the summer months.
Barellan Swimming Pool - Special Pre-Season Opening and Full Season Reopening
The Barellan Swimming Pool will have a special pre-season opening over the October long weekend, allowing the community to enjoy the facility from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 October 2025.
Following this, the pool will temporarily close and then reopen for the full 2025/2026 season on Saturday 18 October 2025.
The facility includes:
- A 25-metre, 6-lane pool
- A brand new zero entry toddlers' pool with interactive water play features
- Shaded picnic areas
- Ample bbq facilties
- A fully stocked kiosk
Ideal for families, school groups, and lap swimmers, the Barellan Pool is a well-eqipped and welcoming venue for the summer season.
