BBQ Experts and Award-Winning Country Music Artists

Whether you are into barbeque (BBQ), country music, or both, Narrandera Sportsground is the place to be this Saturday 19 November from 11am to 7.30pm.

Shannon Walker from All Things Meat has an abundant passion for meat and has been involved in the industry since 1985. His love for barbequing started in 2007, winning awards including reserve grand champion team with Smoking Coals BBQ at the largest BBQ competition in Australia. Shannon has travelled the USA and Brazil, learning from some of the best BBQ celebrities in the world. He is also host of the ‘Meatstock Butcher Wars’ and manager of the Australia Butchery Team - the Makani Australian Butcher Team, who won the Silver Medal at the World Butchers Challenge in America. You can enjoy his demonstrations throughout the afternoon at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.

Also showcasing his skills is Rob Gallina from Game on Enterprises. Rob is a well-respected Bush Cook and creator of award-winning rubs. The demonstrations from this team will have you serving up some mouth-watering meats at your next BBQ.

Representing our local bush tucker is Leanne Egan from Sandhills Artefacts who will be presenting her cooking techniques using indigenous herbs and spices and proteins such as kangaroo and murray cod. Learn how you can turn familiar recipes into bush tucker versions with the blending of flavours and techniques.

The music line-up features Sameera Bashir, setting the mood with her contemporary sounds from 12.30pm, followed by an open mic session for locals between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. Watch on to cheer and vote for your favourite performance for the people’s choice award.

Award winning vocalist, songwriter, performer, lead singer and front person for Texas Rose - Lou Hoare, will take the stage at 4.30pm. Lou has performed at many of Australia’s top music festivals including Gympie Muster. She also holds the record for biggest independent act in Tamworth’s Full House with standing room only.

From 6pm dance along with Southbound XO a new all-female country/rock band featuring Golden Guitar nominee, CMC Music Award nominee and ARIA chart topper MISSY LANCASTER, dynamic vocalist and bass player SARAH BERNARDO, plus electric guitar sensation ANDREA KRAKOVSKA.

Missy Lancaster, of Picton NSW, is a leading fixture in country music after releasing her debut #1 ARIA Australian country solo album “Piece Of Me” in 2018. Missy has been an Apple Music country-wide global feature artist and is a three-time Golden Guitar nominee. She co-wrote top ten Southbound XO radio singles ‘Drink’ and ‘Composure.’ Across her solo catalogue and releases with Southbound XO, Missy’s music has been streamed over 21 million times.

Sarah Bernardo, originally from Toronto Canada, is a genuine multiformat weapon! Currently calling Australia home, Sarah is a self-taught pianist, guitarist, bassist and vocalist. Sarah's power co-lead vocals and bass playing add a compelling dual element to the Southbound XO sound. Her first country co-write was Southbound XO’s #1 Australian country radio single ‘Find Our Way.’ Her second was their Top 10 radio hit ‘Composure.’
