Resident Artist - Carmonn French

Carmonn French's "554 kms" exhibition is a body of work that honours the place that raised her, Narrandera. 554 kms is the distance from her studio in Darlinghurst to her hometown, Narrandera.

Carmonn defines Narrandera as a big place, yet so small. A place where people can reconnect and wander. Having grown up in Narrandera and now painting about growing up there, she wants to allow the viewer to inhabit, wander 'inside' the pieces within her own memories.

It is through this process that those looking at these pieces will better understand parts of her story and their own. Connecting shared and individual experiences.
