Narrandera Shire Council is thrilled to announce seven new projects through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program Phase Two totalling $819,975.

These works cover a variety of projects that will have a significant and positive impact on Narrandera Shire.

These projects include the construction of a revised Wiradjuri Wall in Marie Bashir Park. This project will be carried out with ongoing public consultation with our community to ensure the concept and construction produce a successful outcome we can all be proud of.

A new bike pump track will be constructed at Barellan for everyone - in particular our young people - to enjoy.

Better accessibility at Narrandera Sportsground, improving community facilities and areas including disabled spectator access. Plus, a new digital scoreboard with video capability, and the current scoreboard will be re-housed to Henry Mathieson Oval.

Improvements to the Flora and Fauna reserve with upgrades to the car park and entrance of the reserve, while Grong Grong Sportsground will also receive landscaping improvements including the construction of a storage facility, toilet and the necessary equipment needed for Grong Grong residents to maintain the space.

Finally, Barellan Cemetery will see the installation of new toilet blocks with an accessible uni-sex toilet and an onsite sewerage management system.
