The full program for Koala Festival 2025 has officially launched, and it’s shaping up to be the wildest weekend in the Riverina.
Taking place Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September 2025, the Koala Festival invites visitors of all ages to celebrate one of Australia’s most successful conservation stories. From humble beginnings in 1972, Narrandera’s koala colony has grown to over 300 koalas now thriving amongst the river red gums and this festival is your invitation to meet them.
This year’s event program is packed with immersive experiences, including koala habitat tours, guided bushwalks, reptile encounters, kayak tours, nature-based workshops, and a riverside Light Show at Brewery Flat Reserve. On Sunday, it’s time to grab your binoculars and join in the Narrandera Koala Count – Australia’s longest-running citizen science survey.
The 2025 Koala Festival is made possible through the generous support of local and regional sponsors. Bendigo Bank, Charles Sturt Hotel, Devlins Bridge Wind Farm, Manildra Group, Narrandera Argus, Narrandera Fisheries, G & S Skip Bins, Australian Koala Foundation, Eldridge Tree Service, ProTen Narrandera, Southern Cross Austereo and Narrandera Shire Council have all thrown their support behind this unique celebration of wildlife, nature and community.
With food vans, live music, family-friend entertainment and some of the cutest wildlife in Australia, Koala Festival 2025 promises to be a weekend of unforgettable memories and meaningful connections.
The full program is now live at narrandera.com.au.
