Grong Grong Sportsground Proposal

Narrandera Shire Council is considering a proposal to grant a short-term licence (1 year) to the Grong Grong Horse Sports Incorporated for the purpose of ‘equine events’.

As the Crown Land Reserve Trust Manager, Council is able to grant a short-term licence in accordance with Part 2 Section 2.20 of the Crown Land Management Act 2016 (NSW).

Before Council makes a decision on the proposal, Council is consulting with key stakeholders, neighbours and the general community seeking comment about the proposal.

Should Council resolve to grant the short-term licence, the agreement will be based on the template from Crown Lands NSW which will include general maintenance and upkeep of the sportsground.

Narrandera Shire Council, as the Reserve Trust Manager of the Grong Grong Sportsground, has received a request to enter into a short-term licence agreement for the land identified below highlighted in ‘yellow’, surrounded by Lachlan Street, Burrangong Street, Willandra Street and Balaro Street in the village of Grong Grong.
