Council will soon begin an exciting upgrade at the corner of East and Bolton Streets, with works scheduled to commence on Monday, 5 May 2025.
The project will involve the modernisation of the existing concrete blisters, which will be replaced with a more contemporary and sustainable composite decking finish. This change reflects Council’s commitment to improving public spaces in both form and function, offering a more attractive and pedestrian-friendly environment.
As part of the upgrade, mature Pin Oak trees will be planted in place of the existing trees. These trees have been carefully selected for their canopy size and seasonal beauty, offering increased shade and long-term enhancement of the area’s amenity.
To ensure safety and minimise disruption, the work site will be securely fenced for the duration of the project, with clear signage in place. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times to support local residents, visitors, and businesses.
This renewal project is part of Council’s broader efforts to revitalise local streetscapes and provide welcoming, functional spaces for the community.
Please note, no parking spaces will be lost in result of this upgrade.
