Construction of a new Wiradjuri Wall will commence in Narrandera’s Marie Bashir Park this February. The design has been developed in consultation with Aboriginal Elders and the community, to develop a suitable replacement for the incomplete monument.

Construction of the new water reservoirs at Pine Hill has almost been completed. Council is now at the stage of checking for leaks and disinfecting the reservoirs, which needs to be completed before they can be brought into operation.

Narrandera Library will be running a trial of extended hours on Wednesdays for the next six weeks. From Wednesday 12 January through to Wednesday 16 February the Library will be closing one hour later at 6.00pm on Wednesdays.

In the latter part of 2021, Council engaged Sea & Star Advisory Services to develop a community survey to prepare for the development of a new Community Strategic Plan and also a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan.

At the Extraordinary Meeting of Narrandera Shire Council on Wednesday 5 January, the councillors voted on the roles of Mayor and Deputy Mayor.   Cr Kschenka was re-elected Mayor and Cr Lander elected to the role of Deputy Mayor.

Narrandera Shire Council will be carrying out road works on Wednesday 15 December. Locations include Anzac Crescent between 10.30am to 2pm, as well as the intersection of East and Larmer streets between 7.30am to 10.30am.
