Volunteering

Millions of Australians volunteer in their communities each year and for many different reasons. No matter the reason, volunteering can be highly rewarding, fun and suitable for all ages and backgrounds.

Benefits of volunteering include:

  • Learning new skills
  • Meeting people and making new friends
  • Helping others and making a difference in your community
  • Increasing confidence and improving wellbeing
  • Extending your network and community knowledge

Whatever your experience or interest, there are several ways you can volunteer to assist council in delivering services to our community. Volunteers support us in delivering important services such as:

  • Community Transport
  • Narrandera Destination and Discovery Hub (visitor information and services)
  • Narrandera Library
  • Parkside Cottage Museum

Councils advisory and Section 355 committees also rely on volunteers to fill the community representative places and provide Council with knowledge and support.
