Step into the past and uncover a treasure trove of local history at Parkside Cottage Museum. Housed in a charming century-old timber cottage, the museum was established in 1968 and showcases an eclectic collection from Narrandera and surrounding areas. Among its highlights is the fascinating private collection of the late Dr HO Lethbridge.

Explore the story of early riverboat trade along the Murrumbidgee with navigation maps from Captain T Bynon; discover rare artifacts, like a snowshoe and wooden snow ski from Scott’s Antarctic Expedition; everything from historic clothing to agricultural tools is on display.

A standout piece is the scarlet-coloured merino cloak, the only one of its kind in the world, made from the first bale of wool sent to England by the Macarthur family in 1816.
