What is the Youth Advisory Council?
The Narrandera Youth Advisory Council is a committee of young people established by Narrandera Shire Council in 2017. The council consists of up to 12 young people aged 12-24 who live, work, study, or have significant links within the Narrandera Shire.
What does the Narrandera Youth Advisory Council do?
- Promotes and advocates the interests of our youth and make recommendations to council on matters affecting young people and the community
- Connects with others to give opinions on matters affecting our community
- Encourages and supports local youth to become involved in creating new opportunities and projects
- Creates programs and activities to raise awareness in issues impacting our young people
What's involved?
- Participating in monthly meetings on the first Monday of the month at 4:30pm (alternating between the Council Chambers at the Administration Building and Youth Space at Narrandera Library)
- Contributing to planning and running youth events in the Narrandera Shire
