For Investors
If you’re looking to invest in rural Australia, Narrandera Shire is your opportunity. Locate your operation in the heart of the Riverina, Australia’s largest agricultural hub, and at the gateway to the burgeoning Western Riverina.
Trade deals, the region’s relative water security and advances in communications have recently generated a massive increase in investment in the region. The NBN is here and there has been investment in transport hubs, cotton ginning, and the nut, poultry and solar energy industries in particular. Narrandera Shire has experienced solid investment in recent years with both Agri-Australis (Ferrer Rocher) and Proten making significant investments in hazelnuts and poultry meat respectively. Several solar farms are planned to a value of $240million. Housing is affordable and agricultural land is also low cost with water availability and space for buffer zones making the Shire a good home for intensive agriculture.
