John O'Brien Bush Festival
This festival is renowned for its friendliness. The Community Bank volunteers are here to help you. The performers are here to entertain you. You'll have fun. If you are a musician you'll love every minute of it. The pub session is legendary, the bush dance atmospheric, and you'll be there. If you're a bush poet you'll have lots of chances to have a go. The performance competitions (there are now two) is worth a try and there are the walk-ups (muso's welcome too) and the poet's breakfasts. This year we introduce Kid's Fest which is supported by the Department of Technology, Information and the Arts via its Festival's Australia program. Kid's Fest will give children the chance to have hands on experience with a range of instruments used in Australian tradional (bush) music. Kid's FEst will be a part of Country Energy Saturday. Children also enter free to many festival events and activities. Don't miss this festival.
